MELASMA fades or....: Melasma is often associated with the female hormones estrogen and Progesterone and is especially common in pregnant women. Studies show creams containing a combination of tretinoin, kojic acid, and Azelaic Acid have been shown to improve the appearance. You may need topical steroid cream or in a severe case, laser treatments can be used. Most of the time it just fades. Congrats re: new baby!
