Quite different: The symptoms for colon and stomach cancer are quite different, as is the prognosis and treatment. For colon cancer, symptoms do not usually appear until quite late, include blood loss anemia, blood in stool, vague abdominal pain and difficulty with bowel. Stomach cancer may present with weight loss, abdominal pain, and anemia. Prognosis is much worse with stomach cancer.
