It depends...: In the most general sense, drinking a carbonated beverage should be OK; the liquid portion will be handled normally and the carbonation (the gas) will have been dispersed long before anything reaches the region of your healing appendiceal stump. But more importantly, what kind of soda you intend to drink? Sadly, I'm not allowed enough space here to discuss the pros and cons of various sodas.Sorry
