Brown discharge: Todays birth control pills are very low in hormones. Taking them punctually is therefore important. Irregular taking of the pill (over an hour difference later than the previous day) can cause withdrawal bleeding, which can appear as a brown discharge. Stop the pill, wait for five days, and begin another cycle. Take them the same time every evening, and this should not occur.
