A member asked:

Can i take a birth control pill to stop my period from coming?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Yes, you can definitely take the first 3 weeks of birth control and then skip the final week and go straight to a new pack of pills. I've had patients do this and I've done it myself and it typically works great. You don't "have" to have a period every month. You may go through your prescription faster than normal, but let your doctor know that you skipped the placebo week of pills.
