Last august tsh level 6.78 - yesterday tsh level 11.01 with a free t4 level of .9 - doctor doesn't seem concerned. is it time for a second opinion?

Yes: Hi. Yes, why isn't your doc just starting treatment? Is he/she waiting for you to get symptomatic? That doesn't make sense to me. I'd start you on l-thyroxine and normalize your TSH. Many other docs would too.
