Digestion and : Absorption of food. Food reaches jejunum, the upper part of small intestine, in a state of partial processing by the enzymes from the stomach and duodenum. The digestion is completed and most of the nutrients are absorbed into the blood in the jejunum and some in the ileum, the lower part of small intestine.
