Low fluoride water: The American Dental Association recommends not using water that contains high levels of fluoride when mixing powdered or concentrated baby formula. Too much fluoride puts your baby at risk for enamel fluorosis, a condition that develops while the teeth are forming in the gums. Whatever water you use, boil it for 1-3 minutes, until your baby starts on solid foods at about 4-5 months.

It depends : Depending on how well the city processes (if they do) tap water , it may not be the best water to use . However, most counties and cities in the US have safe tap drinking water . Bottled wAter is just fine if you can afford it. Distilled water is probably not the best as it lacks minerals found in common drinking water .
