Elevate hand: If your hand is just numbness and tingling, that is a nerve problem. Sometimes, swelling can cause numbness and tingling. To make matters more confusing, some numbness and tingling can make your hands feel swollen. Not a simple situation. There are conditions which can cause both swelling and numbness. Maybe wear a carpal tunnel brace at night for a week and see how you feel.

Thre are several: Possible reasons. Trauma, sleep positon, infection, tendonitis, especially given age. Radial sided tendonitis. May be a common issue such as de quervains, one may need to refine the comlaint, ie , is the swelling in the whole hand or just feels swollen. Is the tingling ing extend up the arm or just into the hand and forearm? Is there neck comoression ad the tingling hand "feels" swollen , .
