50-100 mg. probably: I advise 50-100 mg/day for preventive purposes, though if treating conditions like heart failure or Parkinson's doses of 400 mg or more are reasonable. Many authorities like Joseph Mercola feel Ubiquinol is superior, esp. for those over 40, though some like Stephen Sinatra feel Ubiquinol is not worth the extra expense. Coenzyme Q: For the most part, everyone over 40 should be taking 100mg of Coenzyme Q. People on Statin drugs should take 200mg, as statin drugs decrease the body's production of Coenzyme Q. Ubiquinol is absorbed better by the body.
