It depends: It depends on what you're seeking. General practitioners can be first-line physicians for entire families, so must keep up with the health needs of all kinds of people. They can certainly do well-woman checks, and some deliver babies too. Gynecologists specialize in women's health care, which includes more than the female reproductive system. Not all do obstetrics. These are points to consider.
