Consider meuropathy: Consider meuropathy treatments. Full dose of gabapentin, or Lyrica (pregabalin) or Cymbalta alone of I'm combination with Either of the first . Nerve blocks may also help. Discuss with your physician these options

Neuromodulation.com: You may find this site helpful http://www.neuromodulation.com/for-patients. I assume that your Dad is seeing a pain specialist already? If not then he should be and they can recommend treatment options. I am not sure of any providers in NZ but there are in Australia and any good pain clinic in your area should be able to advise.

Pain clinic : Your gp can refer you to a pain clinic which would be a good place to start. They can then assist you accessing this treatment/alternatives available in your area both public and private and most health boards have clinics like these. Otherwise there are private pain specialists especially in larger centres. Depends where in nz you are but your gp can probably help with a referral
