NO: Coreg (carvedilol) ca cause nausea and GI upset, but does not cause diverticulitis. Diverticula are "out pouchings" of the lining of the GI tract, most commonly found in the colon. When one of these "out pouchings" becomes infected, then it is diverticulitis.

Not that I know: Diverticulitis is rupture of a pocket located on outside surface of usually the left side of the colon. It would be very unusual for this to be directly related to a medication especially this one. The only possible relationship might be if a medicine caused severe constipation that then led to an episode of diverticulitis

It is very rare.: There have been patient reports that while on carvedilol long-term they developed diverticulitis. However, it appears to happen very rarely.
