Type is important: Some lymphomas are more easily treatable than others; unlike most cancers, stage IV in lymphoma does not mean it is incurable. There are many good treatments for lymphomas that can allow your mother's life expectancy not to be limited by the lymphoma. Find out what type of lymphoma and discuss it further with her physician.
