A doctor has provided 1 answer

Meningitis: The pia and the arachnoid are part of the meninges, the lining around the brain and the spinal cord. The dura is another layer of the meninges. Together these three may be inflamed, inflammation of these structures is called meningitis. This may be caused by a virus, a bacterial infection or medications. It s not clear what the cause was in your case. How was your diagnosis made?
