POSSIBILY: Chlordiazepoxide was the first benzodiazepine synthesized and is marketed as Librium in the usa. Although fairly safe in appropriate doses, like all other medications there are potential side effects common to this class(xanax, ativan, (lorazepam) valium) which include: confusion constipation drowsiness fainting altered sex drive liver problems lack of muscle coordination.
