Not sure what ? Is: CSF (cerebrospinal fluid) is made continuously by brain. CSF is made on top of the brain and drains down to spinal canal. Hydrocephalus occurs if there is a blockage with the ventricles (fluid filled spaces) in brain becoming larger. Often surgery is needed to treat this condition which occurs in premies who have bleed into their brains or in elderly with NPH (Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus).
