A member asked:

What do you suggest if my grandma has been diagnosed with colon cancer will she loose her hair?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Just having colon cancer does not cause hair loss. If surgery is performed, depending on the nature of the lesion, chemo may or may not be used. Post op adjuvant chemo could be given and under those circumstances . Here, depending on the drug used, the hair follicles can be effected to cause of hair loss.
