Do you have any advice for someone interested in being an ophthalmologist?

Dr. Tim Conrad answered

Specializes in Ophthalmology

Hmmm: It is a long and challenging process to become an ophthalmologist, requiring four years of medical school, a year of internship and three or more years of residency training. The process is competitive so only the best students are successful in completing the training. With this in mind, my advise is to study hard in college to get into a quality medical school and work hard in medical school.
