A member asked:

Help docs, is hormone replacement therapy worthwhile?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Hormone replacement (HRT) is currently only indicated for post menopausal women who are having severe symptoms such as hot flashes, trouble sleeping, and should be used for a short amount of time (few years). There are a lot of alternative doctors who push the idea of "bioidentical hormones" even for women before menopause. There are no good studies to support this usage.
