A member asked:

What do you suggest if my husband was diagnosed with epiploic appenedagitis is this an std?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: There are small fat filled sacs on the outer wall of the colon and rectum. When they are inflamed it is called epiploic appendagitis. It is diagnosed by CT scan. It is a benign condition treated with anti-inflammatory pain meds.If pain is severe, they can be removed laparoscopically without a big incision.Rest assured it is not an STD.I hope I answered your question.
