Maybe: Most of the cases are X-linked dominant meaning that most of the affected individuals are female since they have two X chromosomes. If a boy survives won't pass it along. An affected female will transmit to 50 percent of children regardless of sex, resulting in 50 percent of risk. You may consult a Genetic Counselor for more detailed information.
