Yes,: It will, try to determine if you're really allergic to lidocaine, very rare and probably allergic to additive or had toxic effect from accidental intravenous administration, but no one will want to risk allergic reaction

See an allergist: It would be best to have tests to see if you have a true allergy to lidocaine, or perhaps reacted to epinephrine which might have been given with lidocaine. There are other local anesthetics which could be used instead in an epidural, such as bupivacaine or ropivacaine. A doctor who specializes in allergy medicine can do skin testing to see which local anesthetics you can take.
