A member asked:

What do you suggest if my mother in law has given my 5month old baby chocolate. am i being unreasonable to think this was just wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Offer her facts: We try to avoid certain foods while the kids intestine is still maturing so they don't develop allergies to that product. While she may look on chocolate as a "treat" for baby, that projects an adult "savory"factor on an infant with no such food craving and could cause baby to be allergic to it when s/he gets older.Good intentions does not mean good idea.(and it's your baby)
