A member asked:

What happens if a female ate something that contains testosterone, would she absorb the testosterone as a nutrient?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hormone NOT nutrient: Hi. Testosterone is a hormone, NOT a nutrient. If a female ate something with testosterone in it, yes, she would absorb it, and yes, if the absorbed level was high enough, it could influence her physiology. Getting much testosterone orally is not a good idea...liver risk.
