Bacteria: If you are having bleeding from your mouth, it is the gums bleeding being irritated or infected from the effects of bacteria/plaque/tartar. I would recommend you start flossing, even if it makes your gums bleed; it will get better. More importantly, you need to see your dentist right away and he can evaluate your hygiene and gum situation. Good luck.

Gum disease: Probably gums, not teeth, that are bleeding. You need to immediately see your Dentist for evaluation, professional cleaning, and gum treatment (if severe you will be referred to Periodontist). You have to learn to clean everywhere, especially between teeth where no toothbrush can ever reach.
