Does prilosec actually cure ulcers?

No: Prilosec and similar meds only decrease the amount of acidity created by the lining of the stomach during food processing. That can decrease the intensity of symptoms when reflux of gastric contents into the lower esophagus occurs. other medications can target the issues that lead to ulcers.
