Need evaluation: You need to see an infertility specialist given that you are 41 and have been trying for one year. Chances of pregnancy success with fertility treatment declines with age and therefore going to the infertility specialist soon would be wise. Good luck.

Timing is everything: There are many reasons why achieving pregnancy may take longer than you like and one may be timing. You are only able to get pregnant mid-cycle while ovulating. For a normal 28 day cycle, if one counts back 14 days from the first day of the menses, that is the best time to get pregnant. Having intercourse every other day around that day for a week gives the best shot.

Timing: You will ovulate around day 11-12 of your cycle with day 1 being the first day of your period. Have sex every other day around this time. If still not pregnant see GYN for evaluation, and partner to have semen analysis.
