Other possibilities: Your doctor is treating you for PID. Additional testing such as a pelvic ultrasound would be required to rule out other causes for your pain (ex. ovarian cyst or tumor). There are many additional gynecologic and non-gynecologic conditions that cause pelvic pain.For more information www.askyourgynecologist.org Other causes for pelvic pain are outlined quite well in the book.
