I started bc & my period on the same day 8days ago. my period hasnt stopped. does the irregularity of my period effect the sucess of the contraceptive?

No: Because you are so young, your hormonal system has not matured adequately and thus your periods are more likely to be irregular. As you grow older, your periods will become more regular. However, the effectiveness of the pill is NOT affected by the regularity or irregularity of your period, so just keep taking your pills and your periods will become more regular with time.
