Need evaluation.: Complete baldness (alopecia totalis) does not respond to minoxidil or finasteride, in my experience. You need a workup from your doctor or a dermatologist to identify an underlying cause, if any. Sometimes an aggressive course of oral & topical steroids or cyclosporine will work, but your doctor will determine if that is a reasonable option.

Get evaluated: I'm betting you've got alopecia areata. I've got a doctor friend who has it and loves being totally smooth. The treatments (glucocorticoids, cyclosporine) are worse than the disease, by far. Hit the fitness circuit, remember that 95% of your looks is how fit you are and this is completely under your control, and remember how many men who are sex-symbols shave everything. Best wishes.
