A member asked:

With ibs,is it normal to have raisin-looking like substances in stool?easier to gain weight?reddish/orange puffy looking things after eating carrots?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ibs: You ask good questions to which there are no specific answers. Everyone's stool looks different. If your stool has reddish orange swollen particles after you eat carrots, and you don't digest well, then they may be the carrots. With IBS, there is increased transit time through the gut, so many things do not get digested properly. It is not easier or harder to gain weight with IBS
