Hormone response: white mucus is not diagnostic of anything specific however if it occurs on a regular basis mid cycle, it might signal a decrease in progesterone secretion in a woman. As woman's hormone levels cycle every month, and are responsive to multiple chemical changes one would have to measure blood levels over the month to document a decrease in hormone levels.
