Vaseline and latex: Water based lubricants are better for sexual activity. Furthermore, Vaseline cannot be used as a lubricant for intercourse when latex condoms are used. The petroleum products in Vaseline can degrade the latex leading to condom failure and unintended pregnancy/disease transmission.
