Depends on cause.: Globus Pharyngitis is the inflammation of one or more parts of the throat due to GERD(common cause) esophageal dysmotility, laryngo-pharyngitis or psychogenic causes. To get better, one must find the cause to eliminate it. It is not a true dysphagia so you can still swallow but it is annoying.

Thyroid and iodine : An enlargement of the thyroid can also cause the same symptoms. An enlargement of the thyroid gland can be caused by an deficiency of iodine and subsequent hypothyroidism known as a goiter. It enlarges on the outside but also enlarges inwardly. Thus can cause the discomfort when swallowing.
