How accurate is a hpt when done correctly a week after a missed period? or two weeks after ovulation?

Very accurate: As long as you are following the directions, and preferably using first morning urine, the tests are very accurate, especially a full week after a missed period. If still in doubt, get a serum blood test which would have to be ordered by your doctor or repeat one more time in another week.
