You need to: follow up with your orthopedist. This could be related to your knee replacement but it could also be something new. Either way you need to follow up with your physician for a re-evaluation. You can certainly take Ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain in the meantime, as long as you have no medical condition that would prohibit either of these medications, but you need to be checked out.
