IUD: safety ?: IUD's ae not as good at pregnancy prevention as oral contraception. If pregnancy occurs, a third rupture of the uterus is possible, so using a better birth control method is safer. The IUD also does not prevent pregnancies in the tube (outside the uterus), so in this case, oral contraceptives are recommended, or tubal ligation if pregnancy is not desired at all.
