A member asked:

On bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) and diflucan. healing stagnated at flaky red areolas. when i breastfeed it starts dripping clear yellowish fluid. is it pus? what now?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not pus-: Sounds like serous fluid that is being produced by the irritated skin cells. It's much like the fluid that is produced when you burn your skin and get a fluid filled blister. You are on treatment for both a possible bacterial infection and yeast infection. Air out nipples when possible, avoid use of nursing pads which may trap moisture. Can continue breast feeding. Try lanolin on areolas as well.
