Risk factors (selected) are: obesity, family history of diabetes, sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy eating habits.History of gestational diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndromes, older age, metabolic syndrome, history of giving birth to a baby > 9 lbs....

More than do: There are many people with diabetes who are undiagnosed. I recommend that all adults have there glucose checked yearly at a routine physical. And anyone who us having symptoms of diabetes should be checked.
