May be months: Your menstrual cycle may take many months to return to normal. Some people normalize in a month. It is hard to predict but typically 1-2 months.

1-2 months : Most commonly, women will start the regular cycle quite soon after cessation of birth control pills. However there can be a slight delay after stoppage. Other contributing factors could be thyroid abnormalities, weight (thin/heavy), pituitary. Consult your doctor if you miss your menses more than 3 months
