Bee Allergy: Hornet is one of the bees that sting and cause allergy symptoms. Other bees include: honey bee, wasp, yellow jacket, white faced and yellow faced hornet.

A hornet is a wasp: (not a bee). Some people can have serious allergic reactions to their sting. Severe allergic reactions may present with swelling of tongue, mouth, lips or throat; difficulty swallowing ; breathing, wheezing, tightness of the chest, hives, generalized weakness, confusion ; slurring of speech.
