A member asked:

I'm really dizzy i didn't hit my head but the dizziness has been going on for about a hour what should i do and what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Definition: Dizziness is a generic term. You need to define the difference between lightheadedness and true vertigo (spinning). Is there a hearing loss? Is there tinnitus (loud noises perceived in the ear?) An acute onset of dizziness in a teenager may be benign positional vertigo and be related to quick movement of the head. All these symptoms need clarification before one can tell you what to do.
