Shingles pain: This kind of pain can be very bad. Shingles are caused by a virus so the antifungal has no role. If you are not seeing a pain specialist get a referral. As for treatment, you might suggest to you doc the Qutenza patch. Which is capsaicin 8 percent,. Some people have had success with this. The drug ketamine might also help you but you need expert pain management guidance.
