Context???: The first sign of pregnancy on an ultrasound is the appearance of a rounded anechoic structure. Other structures can also appear as anechoic, which is simply a descriptive term of what they see. Usually a radiologist will comment further about what s/he thinks this could be.

Early Pregnancy: If you are in the early part of pregnancy and get and ultrasound the findings may be vague. Ultrasound findings become more specific as pregnancy progresses and fetus develops structures.
