Just got dtap vaccine and a lot of the vaccine liquid sprayed out where the needle and vial connect. they had to give me half of another dose.why did that happen?

Vaccine issue: Would think the needle was not securely fastened to the hub of the syringe. That would be my guess. Not uncommon, but should not happen. WHen one does an injection, must take their time and do it well. Sorry that happened. Hope this helps. Best of luck

Vaccine and Dtap: So sorry that happened. Not sure why that happened. May have been the vaccine, vial or combination . Either way they were right to give you 1/2 dose to ensure adequate delivery for optimal protection
