No : You shouldn't but that's a radical change on medication. It's a big jump from Hydrocodone. Why are you needing these meds? Have you had a heart work up and EKG? It's needed when on this medication. You must be careful with methadone.

You may: That's a low methadone amount and may or may not give you the same relief. It will also take 4-5 days to stabilize on the dose. I would not worry about. Cardiac effects until you are on more than 40-60 mg day but get a baseline EKG to check your baseline QT interval
