Iron deficiency?: if your anemia is due to iron deficiency from your heavy period- you should be getting iron replacement. if you do not respond to oral iron or can not tolerate it then IV iron would be a good option for you. Blood transfusion is not needed in many cases in a young person like you. please discuss with your doctor in detail about iron replacement.
