Almost 27 weeks pregnant and have been having sharp vaginal pains and rectal pressure all day. is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pain: It could be round ligament syndrome, especially if its worse with movement or activity and better with rest. Tylenol (acetaminophen) and rest usually help. Significant constipation may cause same pain. If pain is every few minutes and lasting 30-60 sec though, call your OB doc (most of us have after hours answering services) and see if he/she thinks its preterm labor
