A member asked:

Could a prolactin lvl of 26 ug/l in a male cause sleep disturbances? also, is fsh <2 iu/l and total test of 11 nmol/l normal for a 19 y/o male?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not right: Hi. No, those labs are definitely not normal. That prolactin (PRL) is not causing an undetectable FSH and vanishingly low testosterone. Could measure PRL at 1:100 & 1:1000 dilution ("J effect"). There could be a pituitary stalk effect. Many other things possible too. Will need pituitary MRI. Did puberty ever start, to did it start then stop? Do you wake up to pee? See a good endocrinologist.
